y exposure to art began in my early teens and was reinforced by frequent visits to several NY art museums, mainly the Metropolitan Museum of Art. From the start I was interested in the kind of painting which had a significant component of craft and technique. My work has evolved and gone through many changes since then, though craft remains an important part of what I do. The paintings that excite me the most are those which balance the abstract/conceptual side with a knowledge of craft and technical know how. Finding a balance between these two is what I strive to do pressently.
